Jessica Dent became a Partner in 2025, recognising her exceptional commitment to clients and her rapid progression within the firm. She joined the team in May 2021 and qualified as a solicitor in November 2022, building a strong reputation in criminal defence in a relatively short period of time.
Jessica represents clients at both the police station and in the Magistrates’ Court, providing calm, thorough and strategic advice from the very earliest stage of proceedings. She is known for being personable, patient and highly approachable, with a genuine ability to put clients at ease during what are often extremely stressful situations. Jessica is passionate about her work and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure her clients feel supported and fully informed throughout their case.
She graduated from the University of Liverpool with a First-Class degree and went on to achieve a Distinction in her Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School.
Jessica works closely alongside Higher Court Advocate Jacqui Appleton, forming a formidable “dream team” for clients facing serious and complex allegations. Together, they have successfully defended cases involving serious violence, including securing a Not Guilty verdict after trial for attempted murder following skilful negotiation on a section 18 GBH offence. Their combined expertise ensures clients receive seamless representation from the police station through to Crown Court trial.
Jessica’s dedication, attention to detail and client-focused approach make her a trusted advocate and an invaluable member of the firm’s leadership team.
