Barbara Placido joined Shelley & Co in 2016, after a successful career as a social anthropologist.
She has a BA (Hons) and a PhD in Social Anthropology from Cambridge University and was a Lecturer in Anthropology at the London School of Economics.
Barbara represents clients on all types of criminal cases, from road traffic offences to more serious matters such as robbery, sexual and drugs offences, GBH and homicide. She represents clients at the Police Station and at the magistrates’ court, and she follows all her clients’ case that go to the Crown Court through to completion.
She is experienced in working with vulnerable defendants as well as youths going through the criminal system.
Barbara is fluent in Italian and also speaks Spanish. She has lived and worked in Italy, America, Venezuela and the UK.
