Meet the Team
Mark Shelley set up the firm 20 years ago and remains very much at the heart of the firm. The Shelley & Co team is made up of eight experienced and talented lawyers who between them undertake police station, magistrates’ court and crown court work.
Mark started in general practice with a wide range of work. In 1996 Mark started his own firm specialising only in crime. Since then the Firm has grown to 8 solicitors all practising only in criminal work. Mark is also a partner in Potter Shelley and Co Huntingdon, which practises solely in criminal law.
Christina qualified as a Solicitor in 1996 and has always specialised in criminal law. After working on the South Coast for several years, she joined Shelley & Co in 2002 and became a partner later that year.
A passionate defence lawyer who wears her heart on her sleeve and prides herself on doing her utmost to ensure the best possible outcome for all of her clients. Jacqui specialises in all areas of criminal defence work and is regarded as having a natural aptitude for criminal law.
Simon joined Shelley and Co in September 2012. Primarily defending people prosecuted by the Crown Prosecution Service and the Police, Simon prides himself on his attention to detail and his hard working attitude both at the police station and in Court.
Jim qualified as a solicitor in 1981. He has worked in criminal law for the whole of his professional career, initially as a court legal adviser in Stockport and Nottingham, then as a prosecutor with Nottinghamshire Prosecuting Solicitors/Crown Prosecution Service and the with the Crown Prosecution Service in Cambridgeshire
Barbara joined Shelley & Co in April 2016, as a newly qualified solicitor, after completing her training with Adams Harrison solicitors where she specialised in commercial property, family, employment and criminal law.
A Cambridge solicitor with 35 years post-qualification experience, Monica is considered caring, thorough and reliable.
